Getting started

What does Churnie actually do?

Churnie is the discipline layer for credit-card churning. You add a card you've opened (bank, bonus points, annual fee, minimum spend, dates) and Churnie paces the spend, tells you when the bonus is safe, schedules the cancel before the year-2 fee, and shows when each bank will pay you a bonus again.

Does Churnie connect to my bank?

No, and it never will. There are no bank logins, no card numbers, and no credentials. Everything in Churnie is information you type in yourself, and it stays on your phone.

Do I need an account?

No. There's no sign-up and no login. Add your first card and you're churning.

How do I log spend towards the minimum?

Open the card and use Log spend. Churnie shows how much is left and the exact dollars-per-day pace needed to make the deadline.

What does the Radar mean by "locked" and "holding"?

Holding means you currently have a card from that bank (or its group), so its bonus clock hasn't started. Locked means you closed one recently and the bank's exclusion window is still running; Churnie shows the month it reopens.

Are the eligibility rules guaranteed?

No. Bank bonus rules change and differ per card. Churnie ships sensible defaults with a "last reviewed" date, but they're informational only, not financial advice. Always verify the rule in the card's current offer terms before applying.

Reminders

What will Churnie remind me about?

Three families of reminders: cancel-by alerts (30, 7, and 1 day before your cancel deadline), min-spend deadlines (14, 7, 3, and 1 day out), and a points-overdue nudge if a bonus hasn't landed 60 days after you met the spend. Each can be switched off in Settings.

When is it "safe to cancel"?

Once your bonus points have landed in the airline or rewards program (not just the card account), the balance is paid, and your direct debits are moved. The card's cancel-day checklist walks through it. Churnie also flags clawback risk if you've held the card only a few months.

Is Churnie really free?

What does it cost?

Nothing. Every feature is free: unlimited cards, pacing, reminders, radar, timeline and ledger. No ads, no in-app purchases.

So how will Churnie make money?

In future the app may show clearly-labelled offers or referral links to card products. If and when that happens, it will be plainly disclosed in the app and on this page, kept separate from the app's neutral tracking features, and will never change what the tracker tells you.

Privacy & data

Where is my data stored?

On your phone, full stop. Nothing you track is uploaded. See the Privacy Policy for the details.

How do I delete my data?

Delete any card from its screen (the ⋯ menu), or delete the app to remove everything it stored.
