The short version: everything you record in Churnie stays on your phone. Churnie never asks for card numbers, bank logins, or any banking credentials, and it never connects to your bank. There is no account to create. The only data anyone receives is anonymous crash and usage information that helps us keep the app working.

What you record in Churnie (card names, banks, sign-up bonus details, fees, spend progress, key dates, and notes) is stored locally on your phone. It is not collected by us, not transmitted off your device, and not stored on any server. You do not create an account, and we cannot see what you track.
Churnie never asks for, and has no way to receive, your card number, PIN, internet-banking login, or any other banking credential. The app has no connection to your bank; everything in it is information you typed in yourself. Deleting the app deletes its local data.
To keep the app stable and understand how it is used, a small amount of anonymous information is processed by the trusted services below. None of it includes anything you track in the app, and none of it identifies you personally.

These providers process data under their own privacy policies: Sentry, Aptabase, Apple, and Google. As these are global services, the limited data described above may be processed on servers outside Australia, including in the United States and the European Union.
We do not sell your data. We never upload your card records or share them with anyone. We do not show advertising, and we do not use advertising or cross-app tracking identifiers. We never ask for banking credentials.
Because your records live only on your device, you are in direct control of them: you can edit or delete any card in the app at any time, and deleting the app removes everything. For the anonymous diagnostic and usage data held by our providers, you may contact us at support@mentalmetal.app to ask about access or deletion. Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the Australian Privacy Act, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA); we will honour applicable requests.
This app is intended for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.
If we change how the app handles data, we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above.
