Need a hand? Email support@mentalmetal.app and we'll get back to you. The answers below cover the most common questions.
How do I log a symptom?
On the Today screen, tap the symptom you want to record, choose how strong it was (mild, moderate, or severe), and save. The time defaults to now but you can change it, and you can add an optional note. That's it.
Do I need to create an account?
No. There's no sign-up and no login. You can start logging the moment you open the app.
Which symptoms can I track?
Hot flashes, night sweats, sleep problems, mood and irritability, anxiety, brain fog, fatigue, headaches, joint aches, heart palpitations, and your cycle.
Where is my data stored? Is it private?
Everything you log stays on your device. It is never uploaded to a server and we cannot see it. For full detail, see our Privacy Policy.
Does my data move between devices or get backed up?
Not in this version — by design. Your data lives only on the device it was entered on, so nothing about your symptoms ever leaves your phone. Cloud sync and an on-device backup file are planned for a future update.
How do I delete my data?
Deleting the app removes the data stored on your device. You can also delete individual entries from the History screen.
How do I see my symptom trends?
Open the Insights tab for a 30-day view of how often symptoms happen and how intense they are. Longer ranges (90 days, 6 months, all-time) are part of Premium.
How do I create a report to share with my doctor?
With Premium, tap Create doctor report in Insights or Settings to generate a printable PDF summary of your symptoms over a date range, with a plain-language overview you can hand to your GP.
What's free and what's Premium?
Logging symptoms and the 30-day chart are always free. Premium unlocks longer trend ranges (90 days, 6 months, all-time) and the doctor-share PDF export.
How do I restore a purchase?
In Settings, tap Restore purchases. Your subscription is tied to your Apple or Google account, so this brings it back on a new device or after reinstalling.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by the App Store or Google Play, not inside the app:
I was charged but Premium isn't active.
First try Restore purchases in Settings. If it still doesn't unlock, email support@mentalmetal.app with the date of purchase and we'll sort it out.
Email support@mentalmetal.app and we'll reply as soon as we can.
A note on health: this app is a personal tracking tool to help you record symptoms and share a summary with your healthcare provider. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
